Below is a list of training classes the Fire Solutions Group offers. Please contact us to set up the appropriate class for your organization.
- High Hazard Training
Customized training programs designed to suit your hazards and response capabilities. Develop knowledge on prior incidents, lesson learned, and procedures designed to prevent, detect, and mitigate abnormal operations in a high hazard combustible dust environment. All training material is provided given a facility the tools and knowledge needed to train new employees and the local Fire Department on the specific hazards of Industrial operations.
- Bulk Material Handling (SME) Hazard Assessment
This on-site assessment conducted by hazard specialist will provide a Fire Hazard Analysis Report and customized procedural recommendations to mitigate abnormal operations in a facility’s material handling system.
- Natural Gas Safety
Natural gas properties, equipment overview, residential and commercial systems, low, medium, high pressure and transmission gas systems, detection & meters, staging & venting, contractor damage/811, lessons learned and incident review from fatal gas incidents.
- General Utility Hazards 101
Hazards and response tactics to steam, natural gas, electric, and substation incidents
- Utility Incident Investigation
This course is design for marshals and fire investigators and focuses on craftsmanship, end of useful life and system tampering. Course will discuss, fatal gas incidents along with lesson learned from each event.
- RTK, BBP & HazMat
Each year municipal departments are required to conduct Right-To-Know, Blood Borne Pathogens, and HazMat Operations for department members. Our team can provide an integrated course that looks at the chemicals that department members are reasonably exposed to in residential communities along with the tactical hazmat.
- Substation Emergencies
Electrical Safety (69,000-500,000)
Equipment – Electrical & Chemical
Hazards & Response Tactics
Fixed System Suppression
Dry Chemical – Streams & Appliances – Water – NFPA 11 (Foam) – NFPA 18 Water Additive
Incident Review & Lessons Learned
- Distribution Emergencies
Electrical Safety (120V Residential – 460 Commercial – 33,000 Distribution)
Meters (e-field-tact stick)
Hazards & Response Tactics
Wires Down – Arcing – Wire fires – Riser fires – Pole & tree fires – Transformer fires – Storms
Cans – Dry Chemical – Streams & Appliances – Water – NFPA 11 (Foam) – NFPA 18 Water Additives – FireIce
Energy Storage Systems & Clean Agents
- Risk & Policy
A comprehensive risk analysis will be conducted that will enable our team to identify the full gamut of hazards along with the appropriate response tactics which will support continuity of operations. Once the site based risks have been identified policies will be developed to systematically address each mode of failure. Policy will outline tactical operations for both fixed and manual fire suppression along with agents and appliances for safe and effective use in these low frequency high hazard events.
- Incident Command System (at the command post):
ICS 100, 200, 300 & 400. Training is available to assist with efficient command post operation.
- Table-Top & Field Exercises
Our team holds the Master Exercise Practitioner from FEMA.
Table top Exercise: To discuss policy, hazards and response tactics
Field Exercise using mobile command post, Evaluators will be assigned to review command & control, adherence to policy, tactical operations, planning to include IAP, logistics request and mutual aid agreements.
Post-Exercise Incident Review
Recommendations: Policy, training, tactics, equipment & facility improvements
